Progressive acceleration system

Rotational speed adjustment function allows for precise changes to your speed while in motion.
This easy activated speed adjustment results in smooth effortless riding and allows for easy synchronization of speed between divers in a variety of geographical areas and varied current conditions.
When the main switch is turned on, the LED battery life indicators lights up, and the by pulling the speed control lever up you are able to adjust the speed to 8 different levels.
As a guide, MIN to level 3 is slow or for detection and level 4 to MAX is for diving.

av-2 Evolution has a LED battery life indicator on the top cover that allows the diver to easy see the remaining battery life.
When the battery is full all three colors tight up.
Only the red light shows when the battery life is low.

Safety device

If water leaks into the scooter, it may cause damage, explosions or other serious accidents.
To prevent this, a water leakage sensor and warning lamp are installed.

3-speed adjustment – Propeller pitch assembly

Additionally it is possible to easily vary the propellers angle or pitch, which allows for even more fine tuning of the scooters speed to the individual divers needs.

Hands free riding system

Scooter saddle

Scooter saddle unit is equipped. It allows hands free diving easily.

Riding on the slipstream

Streamlined = increased speed, distance, and dive time.
Being dragged long distances creates excessive muscular in the arms.
Furthermore, riding behind a scooter creates resistance and reduces the efficiency of the propeller blades.
Riding horizontally in front of the scooter streamlines the body and scooter, educing drag and dramatically improving both speed and distance traveled on a single battery charge.
In addition, both hands are free for carrying lights, cameras or other underwater equipment. (Patented)


By using the Wings it’s now possible to pull 2 more divers with the apollo underwater scooter.
The diver's different physiques when holding onto the wings have virtually no effect on the scooters performance.
The speed and distance with 2-3 men diving are almost the same as using the scooter solo without a saddle.

Useful Evolutions have been made with new single-hand grip.
Addition of the height adjustable third bar allows easier steering of the traveling direction to any direction with a single-hand control. Furthermore, the control method of traveling speed has also been changed to rotating the front bar just like motorcycle for tireless long distance traveling.

Maximum operational depth

The maximum operational depth will decrease with age. This is due to the aging of the ABS resin used for the housing due to ultraviolet rays and ozone. When it is new, the maximum operational depth is 70m, based on in-house test data, however after about 3 years it will degrade to about 50m, and will decrease over the years. Also, the degree of degradation is not constant depending on the operation and storage environment.
Please be especially careful when frequently using at a great depth.

Technical Information

Technical information provided for more safe and comfort riding of the av-2 underwater scooter.

In case if you can not remove the head assembly from the av-2 body assembly.

Negative pressure inside arisen by environmental changes in temperature or pressure may case difficulty in taking off the head assemble. When it occurs, refer the attached technical information as to the method of taking the pressure balance.
(This function may not be available with some model depend on its manufacturing date.)

Guidelines for Lithium-ion Battery Long-term Storage

Please follow this guidelines when store the lithium-ion battery for long-term in order to minimize deterioration of the lithium-ion batteries.

1.Storage temperature and humidity.
Avoid high temperature and high humidity. The batteries should be stored at cool room temperature (15 to 25˚C) with low humidity.

2.Charge during the storage.
The lithium-ion battery is in partial-charge at the time of factory shipment.
Do not full-charge the lithium-ion battery for storage and during the storage.
During long-term storage , every 6 months partially charge the battery by charging it for 30minutes with its standard charger.

3.Battery connection.
Disconnect the lithium-ion battery and take it out from the equipment for long-term storage.

About poor continuity and abnormal operation

It has been reported that the inundated seawater may cause abnormal operation such as poor continuity or short circuit in the electrical terminals if the inundated seawater is not wiped clean when the top cover is opened.
When using, be sure to wipe off water accumulated on the partition wall and dirt on the 4-pin terminal before storing or reuse. Please pay particular attention to the cleanliness of the contacts.
Please note that the repair of those defects due to the above will be charged even within one year of purchase.
